    We are all kinda programmed to like what we like. We end up loving someone we are wired to love. Trust me i have loved people i wish i didnt and im not alone in that. So in my eyes k and jois love is as real as any other love you can point too.

    He made it real for him, but she was programmed to be close to him by that group of replicants, that's why Joi(or jerk off instruction) calls the spy from the group to come over and that's why she tells him later to unload her from the wall. This is magnified by the end when he comes across her advertisement and calls him a good "Joe". The realization breaks over his face and it's at that moment he knows what is real. He decides to lean on what is real and go save Deckard to help him reunite with his daughter.

    It was mentioned that only he can perform the mission since he didn't have an origin. This tells me that even if time travel was possible, the narrative would still not make sense unless there was someone outside that initiated the loop, someone outside of the loop all together that no matter what happens it wouldn't effect the origin of the loop itself. I believe jane/John was a clone with both chromosomes, and in this manner no matter what happens the person who performed the clone can recreate the loop.

    I disagree with the premise that Debbie is just there just to humanize holden, it's Debbie that first implants the idea into holden that in order for him as a criminalogist to better understand criminality so that he may teach his students effectively he has to become intimate with people and become aware of the conditions that are necessary to push someone towards criminality something he's disconnected with as we're exposed to in the beginning of the series when his "by the book approach" leads to an emotionally distraught man's suicide; not only that but Debbie is the one to humor his theories as a sociologist, where tench just wants to get from point a to b the in the simplest way.

    You made the movie sound more complicated than it really is and still messed up the explanation. You totally missed it. You didnt understand it at all. Its not about multiverse. Not even close to it. The movie is about the divine journey of twin flames. Literally. Its also been explained by Mitsuha's grandmother when she spoke of Musubi. That's exactly what she meant which was backed up by the red string of fate and the swapping of bodies along with the crying-out-of-nowhere scenes and the moments they walked past each other. Its not because of multiverse. Its because the connection is said to be so deep it transcends time. People who haven't been in the same journey would surely have a hard time understanding the movie hence the different so-called explanations and whatnot. The movie perfectly captures the different phases of the twin flame journey. That i love you scene always gets me. The separation with my twin is the most painful event i had to endure. It was the most difficult part of the journey. I cried a lot. It broke me apart. Its a really slow and painful process. It forced me to face every single fear i tried very hard to runaway from over the years. It felt like hell, like something's missing. But at the same time, i felt like i was slowly being guided elsewhere. And everytime i was on the verge of giving up, for some reason, someone or something had always come up at exactly the right moment to give an assistance or assurance. It was difficult but i never felt alone. After few years, i realized each steps i had taken brought me closer and closer to where my twin was. Which technically what this movie was about. That's why i really love this movie.

    I wish they went deeper into Annie’s brother before he killed himself. Like he was probably not even schizophrenic, and I would have loved to see a flashback to some interaction with Queen Leigh, Annie and the brother. Maybe Annie gets a hold of the brothers journal or starts recalling things from her childhood.

  • @vincentmarotta9800
    @vincentmarotta9800 Месяц назад

    I just assumed it played out kinda like this: - Girl is all spiritual and stuff - Makes ancient spiritual rice sake or whatever it was. This very process infuses a part of herself, as if it were living, in the sake. - Store sake in mountain - Due to comet or other spiritual stuff, anomalies are occurring between these two, where they can switch bodies even through time. - Learn to leave messages and hints of who they are through not only notes, but also how others treat them. - Add a flair of themselves in their lives - Comet approaches and day of reckoning is coming - He goes to the mountain and finds the rice sake - He drinks it, also part of herself, and the sun setting "energizes" her spiritual energy in the sake so it creates a sort of avatar link between one another in both the past and present - They have a small window to communicate, and (for some reason) they lose memories of each other after the sun is gone (??). I'm jotting this to "The universe corrects itself" or something like that. - She survives thanks to their collaborative influence. Saves the entire town. - Years later, despite not knowing each other, they instinctually are drawn to one another. - How? A comment on a separate video said it best: "The mind may forget, but the heart will always remember." I LOVE how they act on faith and respond like souls desperately seeking one another after looking for so long.

    When I watch it, I feel like I'm two different people watching: my 15-year-old SF Bay Arean self, and my grownup self, older than Monroe by a few years. My 15-year-old self, especially as a person who remembers the last bits of true SF and Bay Area culture before the techbros came and ruined it, felt seen. Felt connection with Minnie. I was also taken advantage of by an adult, though not in the exact same way and not by someone two decades my senior. I understood where Minnie was coming from, even if I didn't agree with her choices. Even though our circumstances were very different, it was still incredibly relatable remembering my own coming of age and exploring my own sexuality at that time in my life. My adult self felt disgusted but resigned. I know this stuff happened. I know the cultural mores of SF and the Bay Area especially at that time were.. looser than most other parts of the country. I know people in the 70s still knew it was wrong but it skated by a lot easier than it does now. That part of me spent the entire damn movie SCREAMING at Monroe; he OBVIOUSLY knows better the entire time. As an adult watching the film I can see how immature he was the entire time, LONG before Minnie realized it herself. As someone from the area whose mother (also Bay Area born and raised) was only a few years older than Minnie in 1976 (when the movie is set, for those who haven't seen it)... I feel like I got a glimpse into my mother's formative years. Where things like this happened more often and were *slightly* more accepted. I was flabbergasted that Minnie's mother's solution (yknow, after telling her own daughter to slut it up a little more) to Minnie and Monroe sleeping together was to force them to get married. Not immediately call the police (who, at that time, almost certainly wouldn't have taken it as seriously as it should have been taken), not drive him so far away there's no chance he and Minnie will never cross paths, but NO. To insist that the solution is that her 35-year-old (ex) boyfriend marry her 15-year-old child. It really gave me insight on what kind of culture my mother grew up with vs. the culture that I grew up with, and why she (my mother, not Minnie's) made some of the choices that she made for myself, for herself, and for the both of us.
